We are specialists for the Branding of Snap Frames and use the latest Stamp Printing Technology to give your Snap Frames that professional Branded look.  Many leading brands have used us for this service.  Your logo needs to have a transparent back ground and you can leave the rest to us.  Full color or single color printing is available.  We typically require 21-40 Days notice for Stamp Printed Branded Snap Frames. Prices range from $0 to $4.95 depending on quantity required. Rush Service with vinyl stickers is also available in approximately 7-14 Days.

If you are willing to accept ''butt joints'',  then in theory a frame can be 100 miles long. We ship the frames and these are joined on the front with discreet metal fasteners.

The issue is shipping these fragile lengths , shipping anything longer than 40 inches is not recommended unless in bulk, and on oversized pallets. Unless you can receive a pallet delivery, we recommend ''butt joints'' on all oversize frames.

We can expedite your shipping, but unfortunately we can not expedite the manufacturing process. It does take 28 days to manufacture a custom frame and shipping times are added to that.  What this usually means is an approximate 4-6 week wait. 

We can manufacture any profile in any length.  The issue is that the narrow profiles have less torsional strength.  When opening and closing a long 25mm Snap Frame profile, it needs more care as it is prone to twisting.  The 32mm or larger profile is recommended for lengths over 90cm.  We cannot offer a warranty on frames longer than 90cm in a 25mm profile, but it can manufacture for you upon request.

Double-sided SnapeZo® frames are great for hanging in store windows or suspending from ceilings. SnapeZo™ double-sided frames come with pre-threaded holes for easy fixing of supplied hanging bolts for hanging in either portrait or landscape position. 

Window Snap Frames are the perfect solution for showing your graphics both inside and outside a glass window. Perfect for retail stores, restaurants and movie theaters.

On the inside of the window an adhesive is applied to the Snap Frame that holds both your inside and outside graphics. 

On the outside, an adhesive is applied to the stationary frame, giving your backside graphic a framed look while eliminating the need for any exterior frame locks, or protection from the weather. 

The outside window remains cleanable even over the top of the graphic. With creative use you can add some gentle spotlights on your graphic from the inside for a dramatic effect at night.

We are unable to ship Snap Frame extrusions but can supply snap frame kits in any size that you may require.  Snap Frame extrusions contains pre-loaded springs and require special knowledge and tools to cut.  It is much better to use our custom Snap Frame service and have it arrive as a kit for easy assembly.  Many customers use such kits for manufacturing their own Light Boxes.

Yes, you can paint your Snap Frame.  Here's how: 

Painting your frame: Lightly sand your frame with 220 grit sand paper.  After sanding, ensure all grease and contaminants are removed from the frame (including finger prints).  Next, prime and paint your frame with your favorite color of high quality paint.

We do offer a weather-resistant frame which has an additional gasket.  However, all of our snap frames are suitable for outdoor use as they are constructed with high quality aluminum.  We do recommend that you laminate your artwork before displaying in areas that get direct rain or high humidity.

SnapeZo® locking aluminum poster cases are designed when security is a concern but you also need quick and easy access to changing the contents. The cases have a very solid construction and come with two sets of keys.

The profile refers to the border that surrounds your graphic.  This is referencing the width of the portion of the frame.  If you view the thumbnails on the website you will see a diagram, to the right, of a cross-section of the frame profile.

All our Snap Frames come with a non-glare PET-cover, a super white styrene backing and all the hardware required to mount your frame to a flat wall.  Most of our Snap Frames are pre-assembled, but some larger sizes are shipped as kits as they would be expensive and prone to damage during shipping if pre-assembled.  Self-Assembly Snap Frames have product codes "SNAPX-" and are specially designed for easy self-assembly.

The thickness of our Snap Frame backing is 1,2mm.  Our Snap Frame backing is 'Super White', which gives your poster a great 'pop' or vibrance compared with some snap frames which come with a dull gray backing.  Some poorer quality snap frames even have particle board backing, which is prone to warping and buckling or even going moldy and damaging your artwork and even your health.

Our conventional Snap Frames can accept poster paper up to 2,5mm thick, however, we do have specialized Snap Frames which will accommodate 6mm foam-core. 

SnapeZo frames must not be used for glass, as it will break and be very dangerous.  If the mirror is mounted on plastic or acrylic and less than 2,5mm thick then yes, it could work.  (Be mindful that snapping the frame closed may even crack a mirror mounted on plastic or acrylic).

Customer returned frames are usually in good condition, some may be perfect and never even opened, some may have been opened and the wrapping removed.  It will be like a Lottery, you may receive a near perfect frame at a discount, you may not.  No matter what, our standard return policy still applies to all our frames.

We don't recommend wire, as you will lose the functionality of a SnapeZo frame.  If you do wish to hang on a hook, you can use one of the slide-on hangers provided - with no wire.  However, if this is your preferred method, it is certainly possible - watch this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dk6qFKxc_-c

Also, be aware that there are single holes centered on each side which will allow you to hang your frame traditionally, from a single nail/screw in the wall. Furthermore, you can drill anywhere you prefer in the aluminum sub-frame and fit your own preferred hanging hardware.

It will be your choice.  These double-sided Snap Frames open and close exactly the same as any of our frames, but typically they are high up, so you would be standing on a ladder with someone assisting you, passing posters, etc..  You will need to take great care.  In many situations it may be safer to take them down to change.

We have a few options available:

Window SnapeZo frames have one cover, the back cover is the glass of the window that the frame attaches to.  Designed for a restaurant window to show a menu to guests both inside the restaurant and outside looking in through the window.

We offer a Double-Sided frame, to display posters mounted in both sides of the frame.

You could also purchase a snap frame from us and then replace the translucent backing with clear perspex that you purchase locally.  However, the back of the frame is not finished so it would be raw aluminum.

Snap Frames can be mounted to virtually anything that is relatively flat.  We advise you check with a builder/handyman which screws or adhesives they would recommend for unusual materials you intend on mounting your frame to.  The backs of frames have plenty of flat aluminum which can be drilled or have adhesive added, there are also some convenient pre-drilled holes and small screws and plugs which will work for many installations.

We supply all the necessary hardware to hang your frames on typical walls.  However, if the pre-drilled holes don't allow you to hang your frame where you want it, it’s easy for you to drill your own holes in the aluminum anywhere you want, and fix any mounting hardware you would need for your local situation.

All plastics do deteriorate at some rate according to environmental conditions.  Many clients retrofit SnapeZo frames to create home-made light-boxes.  The backing in our conventional SnapeZo frames is not designed for that function and we do not sell those frames for that purpose.  

We manufacture LED light-boxes and the backing we use costs 30x more than the backing in our conventional SnapeZo frames.  

The rate of deterioration in the photos suggests local heating or possible wiping the backing with solvents or even air pollution or migration of solvents from the items placed in the frames or a combination of all.  

The long term solution is to get lower temperature LEDs, improve ventilation, add more space between the LEDs and the backing surface, and use solvent free cleaning products.

The non-glare PET-cover is designed to reduce the glare of light so that your poster can convey its message and be viewed from any angle in bright settings such as Retail Environments.  99.5% of our customers appreciate this great feature as they know their message or promotion will be seen by their target audience at any angle, as they walk along a mall, past a store, etc.

Very occasionally, customers are using the frames in an environment where there is no glare or such issues. On these occasions they may prefer a crystal clear (but glossy) finish cover.

When placing your poster in your SnapeZo frame with a non-glare cover, we do recommend that the cover be placed with the smooth side facing out.

SnapeZo® covers are the best quality available.  The clear covers are the clearest, and the non-glare covers are the best non-glare covers available. We could buy PVC which is 75% cheaper but we do not. Competitors PVC is often cloudy/milky and discolors very quickly in the sun.  However, just like your phone screens, those covers are prone to scratching and just like phone screens, scratches are not covered by warranty.  

The best way to care for your cover is to wash it with a damp, soapy micro-fiber cloth & warm water, then rinse and let it air dry, avoid rubbing it with a drying cloth.

The size of your poster is the size of Snap Frame you need to order.

The visible area is smaller than your poster size.  In any frame you will not be able to see the extreme edge of your poster and most poster designers have this in mind and have nothing important at the extreme edge.

There are no conventional frames available with acid-free backings or covers anywhere in the world.

SnapeZo® frames do not come with acid free backings or covers.

If this issue is going to be a large concern for you the solution is this; (a method used by Museums and collectors worldwide) purchase Archival envelopes and insert your posters or photos into these prior to mounting them into SnapeZo® frames or any other frame.

SnapeZo® non-reflective and glossy covers provide excellent UV protection with no risk of broken glass.  The vast majority of damage to valuable posters is from broken glass.

All of our Snap Frames are manufacture from 100% high quality high grade Aluminum. 

Our readymade Snap Frames are able to accommodate artwork up to 3mm thick.  We do offer custom Snap Frames which can accommodate artwork up to 10mm thick.

We offer a 6 year warranty on the Snap Frame Springs.  All other frame components are Commercial Grade Aluminum which never breaks or corrodes and UV protected Styrene backing which is also indestructible in normal use.

Our sidewalk signs are the best quality in the world.  No display system from any manufacturer will totally protect a poster outside on the street.  It is better to pay extra for more durable material/laminated posters.  Our A-Boards won't rust as they are aluminum and galvanized steel and I occasionally see ones in gas stations we supplied 15 years ago, still working.  The units with water bases have some steel elements, like springs, but with a little pro-active care like washing off salty dirt regularly and occasionally oiling or even repainting if scratched, etc.  just like you would do with your cars and garden tools, these units will also last for many years.

Our regular Snap Frames can accommodate posters thicknesses up to 1,2mm. We do offer custom made snap frames up to thicknesses of 10mm and also custom depth frames.

A picture frame size anywhere in the world describes the poster size that will fit in it.  For SnapeZo® it is also the size of the PET-cover.

Example:  A B1 SnapeZo® frame will hold a B1 poster and also a B1 PET-cover.

All poster frames in the world hide a small part of a poster or certificate, a small border is hidden all around by the frame profile.  This is why most posters and certificates do not show information in these extreme edges, may even have an unprinted white border.

So in the case of any B1 frame in the world - the visible area may typically be reduced by 2-4mm on each side of the frame.

All of our Snap Frames have bright-white styrene backing.

We do not provide glass with any of our Snap Frames.  All of our protective covers are made of PET plastic films, and are 100% recyclable. 

PET, which stands for polyethylene terephthalate, is a form of polyester (just like the clothing fabric).  It is extruded or molded into plastic bottles and containers for packaging foods and beverages, personal care products, and many other consumer products.

These frames are designed to be screwed to the wall and have pre-drilled holes in the back of the frame.  The backing of the frame is styrene.  We have had customers create a system to display these frames outdoors on a stake and they are thrilled with the results.

Our frames are intended to be fixed to the wall with the included screws and drywall plug kit. There are many alternative methods of hanging snap frames, however.  Please visit our Youtube channel by searching "SnapeZo" for other methods of hanging.

The size of a picture frame, worldwide, is identical to the size of the picture which will fit into the frame.  

A portion of the PET-cover and therefore, a portion of the poster or photograph is hidden by the rebate of the Snap Frame, upon closing the frame.  It is this rebate in the frame which stops the PET-cover, and the poster from falling out.  This rebate varies from frame to frame based on the manufacturer, and is typically less than 5mm on each side of the frame.

Yes, all of our Snap frames have pre-drilled holes and mounting hardware. You can also drill new holes, through the aluminum strip at rear of the frame, wherever you may need them.

You can use dry erase makers but is not recommended because it will stain over time.

The frames are designed for wall installation and so the back offers no structural support, it would be better to purchase the 36mm or 56mm profile as this width of frame offers much more support.  The 32mm would actually look great and if the easel offers reasonable support, it would sit flat, but when you are handling the frame it may appear flexible as it's simply not designed for this use.  We also offer frames to hold 6mm thick material, which would enable you to have your poster mounted on thick board prior to framing.  Many of our customers make wooden box structures to hold LEDs and then simply attach the 32mm profile frames to these boxes, taking advantage of the translucent white backing to make inexpensive backlit LED boxes, this may be something that could work for you also.

The PET-covers are very different and provide very different options.  The clear cover is used mostly in situations with poor direct lighting or normal levels of ambient lighting.  The Non-reflective cover provides added visibility and low reflectivity when the frame is used in an area that has direct lighting or exposure to direct sunlight .  The covers are not normally used together and provide no additional protection if used in combination.  This is also a personal preference for the frame owner.  Give both a try and see what works best in your situation.  Once you make your decision on which PET-cover best suits your needs, store the spare cover behind your poster in the frame to keep it from any damage.

If you choose to use the non-reflective PET-cover, please insert the cover so that the smooth side is facing out as this reduces dust build-up on the face of the cover.

The legs extend approximately 30cm from the bottom of the frame.  The total height will be:  "A-board size" + 30cm.  Please note that when the legs are opened, this will reduce the overall height by a few centimeters. 

SnapeZo® frames come with a translucent styrene backing.  There are many unofficial videos online and references in blogs of people using LED lights to back-light the frames.  We do not supply the fames specifically designed for this purpose and so you need to decide for yourself if this is suitable for your needs.  We have not carried out testing or sought any approval or certification for such use.

In general the covers will not be absolutely flat like solid glass.  That being said, they should also not cause issues if installed correctly over normal thickness posters when viewed from a reasonable distance like any normal poster frame.

• Have you removed the protective film from both sides of the clear PET-cover?
• Have you removed the protective film from one side of the non-reflective PET-cover?
• If you have and both are not looking flat, is it a normal poster you are framing or something else?
• However, it can be that the covers have been left in the sun and gotten warm and deformed, if this is the case, we can ship replacements.
• You can take the frame to a perspex supplier and choose a thickness which fits into the frame without opening the corners too much BUT  you may be surprised how wavy perspex is also.
• We ship thousands of frames every month and situations like this are very rare.

Shipping and Handling

Shipping Damages

All products leave our warehouse in perfect condition, we will never ship damaged products or products with damaged packaging.

If cartons or products show any damage, please refuse delivery or, at your risk, notify the driver of damage and mark clearly on delivery note RECEIVED DAMAGED. Retain your copy of this signed delivery note and ask for the driver's name and also write this down clearly.

Take photographs of the damaged cartons or skids before unpacking and email these along with all details of any damage as we will need to file a claim with the shipper.

Delivery Schedule

We will normally ship your order same day or the following day via UPS.

You must inform us immediately on arrival if the goods are damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

If any package appears damaged, sign RECEIVED DAMAGED clearly on the delivery slip, write down the name of the driver and notify us immediately. Or refuse delivery, sign DAMAGED REFUSED DELIVERY and notify us immediately.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

SnapFramesDirect.com does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfillment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.  Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. Returns Policy

Returns are rare but EASY!

You may return goods at your own expense within seven days of receiving your order, to our warehouse.  Please note that custom frames or specific orders manufactured for customers are a firm sale and cannot be returned once ordered under any circumstances.

Refunds

We will refund the cost of returned goods in full within 30 days of return. Subject to being returned in the condition they are received with original packaging and unused.

Remittance Terms

Except for Government Departments, we require payment before shipping.

We offer a 6 year warranty on the Snap Frame springs.  All other frame components are commercial grade aluminum which never break or corrode.  Our UV protected styrene backing is also indestructible under normal use.

Your warranty is activated automatically once your purchase has been made and we have received full payment.  Please keep a copy of your e-mail invoice that contains your order number, so that if any issues should arise in the future, you need only use your e-mail and order number as proof of purchase.
